Hlaudi Motsoeneng loses SCA appeal
Updated | By News24
The Supreme Court of Appeal has dismissed SABC chief operations officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng's application for leave to appeal a High Court ruling that his permanent appointment should be set aside.

"The application for leave to appeal is dismissed with costs on the grounds that there is no reasonable prospect of success in an appeal and there is no other compelling reason why it should be heard," read the SCA judgment, which was posted on social media by the Democratic Alliance.
In 2015, the Western Cape High Court found that Motsoeneng's appointment was irrational and unlawful and set it aside in an application that was brought by the DA.
But Motsoeneng refused to vacate his office, saying he would appeal to the SCA.
