The foundation’s Anton van Dalsen confirmed the urgent application was filed on Tuesday.

The DA filed similar papers on Friday.

Van Dalsen says their application seeks to obtain the documentation that reflects how the decision by Correctional Services Commissioner, Arthur Fraser, based his decision to grant Zuma parole.

"It is very important with medical parole that the relevant legislation and rules are complied with.

"The problem here is that from the department of correctional services own press statement and from the comments to the press by the national commissioner it appears the correct process was not followed.”

He says they asked Fraser's office for the information but have not received it.
