High incoming traffic congestions headed to our province are expected to start on Thursday at noon.
"High traffic volumes are expected southbound towards KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday, 23 September from 12:00 – 18:00 and on Friday, 24 September from 06:00 – 12:00," N3TC said.
"On Sunday, 26 September, traffic volumes are expected to pick up from 06:00 in a northbound direction towards Gauteng and are expected to remain high until 18:00.”
Motorists are being asked to reduce their travel speed and approach construction sites with care even though construction activity will be reduced.
"Some lane restrictions will remain in effect between Villiers and Warden near the Grootspruit Bridge, as well as in the vicinity of the Holspruit Bridge,” it added.
"A climbing lane is currently being constructed near the Wagendrift Dam between Frere and Midway."
