Heavy seas expected off KZN beaches
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
High sea swells are expected to reach the KZN coast this week.

The KZN Sharks Board will begin removing shark safety gear from smaller beaches along the province's coast today.
The board's Mike Anderson-Reade says some of the beaches will be closed to bathers.
eThekwini says Reunion, Pipeline, Warners and uMgababa have been closed for a few days.
The larger, more popular beaches will remain open for now. However, Anderson-Reade says it's important to check with lifeguards before going into the water.
"We will not be removing all of the gear at all of the beaches. The major beaches will be left open - just to give an example - between Umhlanga and Westbrook. The Umhlanga main beach will remain open, the smaller beaches will not. On the upper south coast - the Amanzimtoti main beach will remain open, Pipeline will not. People will be able to access beaches but I don't the weather will be conducive to swimming over that period," he says.
