Jabulani Mdunge had been part of a gang of 10 robbers who were allegedly about to hit a cash-in-transit vehicle when they were caught by police on the N2 in southern KZN.

"Two weeks ago, there was a shootout between police and some gang. Four suspects were shot dead. There are two people seen in that shootout - that's one of them. The identikit confirmed this is the person that we're looking for," he says.

Officers are still searching for the second suspect in connection with Magaqa's death. The Umzimkhulu councillor and two others were shot in July.
