Hawks roped in to probe murder of KZN cop

The Hawks have been roped in to investigate the
murder of a policeman in Paulpietersburg, in northern KZN.

It's understood the cop and his fiancé were asleep at their home when an unknown suspect allegedly broke in on Monday night.
"There was an intruder that allegedly came in and woke up the fiancé and took her to the backroom and came back to the deceased. The fiancè claimed that she heard a gunshot and when she checked on her fiancé she found him with a bullet wound."
No arrests have been made.

Mhlongo says the woman has been diagnosed with depression.
"She was rushed to the clinic. After we found some evidence at the crime scene, the doctors say she can't be interviewed at the moment due to her situation. But we won't leave that one, we will persist and interview her about the incident."
