Hawks make R16 million cocaine bust at Durban Harbour

Hawks officials are still working to establish where millions of rands worth of cocaine seized at the Durban Harbour last week were headed to in the country.
They are yet to make arrests in the case.
It's understood that undercover officials conducted an inspection after receiving a tip-off about a container loaded with drugs inside a vessel from Brazil.
Hawks spokesperson, Simphiwe Mhlongo says while inspecting the container, they discovered a hidden compartment.
"The found 32 bricks of cocaine weighing approximately 1.1 kilogram in the container compartment.
"They tried to make follow up regarding where the container was destined to - it's still in progress as the investigation is continuing."
Mhlongo says no arrests have been made at this stage.
The estimated street value of the recovered drugs is R16 million.
