Hawks denies knowledge of arrest warrant for Ace Magashule

The Hawks have released a statement about a report on the imminent arrest of the ANC Secretary General (SG), Ace Magashule.
According to the report, a warrant was issued for Magashule to be taken in by authorities investigating the controversial Estina dairy project in Vrede in the Free-State.
The 2012 contract, by provincial Agriculture, was meant to benefit dozens of emerging farmers through the production of milk BUT was later declared unlawful.
Magashule was the Premier of the Free State at the time.

Hawks officials have distanced themselves from the Independent Online report.
Spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi said: " We are not aware of any warrant of arrest that has been issued against Mr Ace Magashule.
"The Hawks would like to categorically distance itself from the IOL report.The DPCI view the report as a malicious intent to undermine the integrity of the organization."
Meanwhile, the IOL says it spoke to Magashule last night who said that his imminent arrest was not fake news.
