Gumede and her co-accused have been charged with fraud and corruption relating to a multi-million rand Durban Solid Waste tender dating back to 2016.
The Hawks say service providers were allegedly paid some R208-million, but the municipality didn't receive anything in return.
This is a developing story, more to follow.
