"A certain young man - who was not alone - knocked at my cubicle and introduced himself as Duduzane. At the time, what I could remember very vividly was Zuma. There was a time when Duduzane and Duduzile were not important. But what stuck in my mind was Zuma. I recognised him from media clips with his short dreadlocks that he had at the time," Mentor said.

The former ANC MP has been testifying at the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into state capture.

She says Duduzane Zuma was with one of the Gupta brothers when he came to her cubicle in first class.

"One of the two men that were with Duduzane that I came to know as Rajesh had pointed out to me that his brother was already in China and that he was leading the advanced team for the president."

Mentor says she was invited to a state banquet in China by the Department of Trade and Industry.

She says at the event in China, she realised the Gupta brothers were in charge of the gathering.

"The trio that I later came to know - as the Gupta brothers - took me to another table where I got accredited. They were seemingly in charge of the procedures and processes," Mentor said.
