Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The four family members who were gunned down at their home in Richmond in the Midlands last week have been laid to rest.
Seven people had been inside the home when a group of suspects kicked down the door and opened fire. An adult woman and two children - aged four and seven years - survived the attack. Community Safety and Liaison MEC Mxolisi Kaunda attended the funeral yesterday.

Spokesperson Kwanele Ncalane says Kaunda also engaged with the community.
"We are of the view that such occasions are very painful. We have to confront one family burying 4 people in one go, which is quite a painful experience. We hope that police are working around the clock in order to those responsible being brought to justice," he said.
