68-year-old Cecilia Chiliza, her 43-year-old son Dumisani, 26-year-old nephew Nkosikhona Masango, and her 11-year-old niece - Noxolo Dawood - were killed.
Family member Quinton Dawood says he would have been at the house had he not been watching a soccer match at the Harry Gwala Stadium.
Dawood says the family is living in fear. He's described what it was like arriving at the home after the shooting.
"I just entered the yard and there were two bodies there - my uncle, my cousin. Apparently there were people who came there, shot everybody in the house. My granny, child, my uncle and my cousin - all of them," he said.
No arrests have yet been made.
