Guinness World Records awards man for tallest Eiffel Tower
Updated | By Sky News
A world record winner says he's been on an “emotional rollercoaster”, having first been denied the title and then awarded it for the tallest matchstick Eiffel Tower.
Judges initially decided Frenchman Richard Plaud used the wrong matches.
Sky News reported on Friday that the Guinness World Records admitted they were “a little bit too harsh”.
Plaud built the seven-metre-high model over eight years.
He used more than 706,000 matches and 23 kilograms of glue.
