This year's edition is the 63rd year of publication, which is published in 100 countries and 23 languages.

Guinness World Records is the global authority on record-breaking achievements.

The world's tallest man - a record yet to be broken - was Robert Wadlow, born in 1918 in Illinoi, the US. He stood at 272 cm and weighed in at 222.7 kg. It's believed Wadlow was still growing at the time of his death on July 15, 1940.

Thirty-five-year-old Turkisk, Sultan Kösen is now the tallest living man at 251 centimetres.

South Africa's own Cullinan diamond - discovered on Premier Diamond Mine in Cullinan in 1905 - remains the largest diamond in the world. It weighs in at 3106.75 carats. It's believed that the diamond is today worth $400 million ( approximately R4-billion).

With this year's entries - nail artist, Ayanna Williams claims the title for the longest fingernails on a pair of hands. The 60-year-old was inspired to grow her fingernails nearly 23 years ago. They have now reached an incredible 576.4 cm.

You Jianxia from China holds the title for the longest eyelash. Grown on her upper left eyelid, the eyelash measures an impressive 12.40 cm long.

While 26-year-old Benny Harlem, of California, is reaching new heights with his hair. His current hair style - a 52.0 cm tall high top fade - has helped him earn the title of tallest high top fade.
