Grosvenor Girls High School principal suspended amid racism allegations
Updated | By Nondumiso Dube
The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education has confirmed the precautionary suspension of the principal at Grosvenor Girls High School in Durban.
This follows the pending investigations of allegations of racism and financial irregularities levelled against Mrs Jorgensen.
The department says the suspension was motivated by the investigative panel which was appointed last week to investigate the ongoing allegations at the school.
"The panel has been at work and in consultation with the department over the weekend," says spokesperson for education Muzi Mhlambi.

"Upon looking at the correspondence submitted to it by the department, the panel deemed it fit to recommend the suspension of the principal in order to facilitate an investigation that will not be disturbed by any difficulties for those who will voluntarily tender evidence."
They have urged parents and students with any information in relation to the investigated allegations to come forward, which will assist with the proceedings.
