Grief-stricken Bosman family ask for space
Popular Jazz singer Gloria Bosman died at her family home on Tuesday after a short illness.
Gloria Bosman was born in Soweto and rose to become a renowned jazz singing sensation and songwriter.
With her ever-growing list of honours, including two SA Music Awards (SAMA’s) and more than eleven nominations as well as two KORA nominations, she is one of the country’s most celebrated singers - per her website.
Bosman shared the stage with several musical greats; including Hugh Masekela, Sibongile Khumalo, Moses Molelekwa, Tananas and Sipho Mabuse to name a few.
The Bosman's family released a statement on Tuesday confirming her death.
Bosman was 50 years old.
In the statement, the family has asked to be given space during this this time of overwhelming grief.
