Government not to blame for hung municipalities: KZN Premier

KZN Premier Willies Mchunu believes there is a need to interrogate what he calls the inadequacy of legislation in dealing with the impasse in the hung northern KZN municipalities of Jozini and Nquthu.
Jozini and Nquthu have held several council meetings since last month's elections - in attempts to elect office-bearers - all of which have been unsuccessful.

In his opening remarks at the provincial cabinet Lekgotla in Durban today - Mchunu said government had been blamed for the situation.
