Gordhan responds to summons
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan on Tuesday confirmed that he has been summoned to appear in court on a charge of fraud.

Addressing the first ever Open Tender Seminar in Midrand, Gordhan said the summons was delivered this morning.
"Not having found me at home, they proceeded to go the Treasury and I'm not sure what had happened there. Given the hostility, they might not have been given a cup of tea," Gordhan said.
This comes amid the high level investigation into the so-called SARS rogue unit.
"I expect that I will be at some stage handed a summons to appear in court on, I believe, 2 November. A date has been set to collect my fingerprints. They have been in the system for a long time. I suppose they need to freshen it up in some way," he said.
