Godongwana urged to revive rail networks, ports at MTBPS
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
Citrus growers have urged Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana to prioritise the financial recovery of the rail networks and ports.

Godongwana is scheduled to deliver his mini-budget in Parliament on Wednesday afternoon.
Last week, logistics operator Transnet asked Treasury for a reported R100 billion bailouts to relieve its debt burden.
Justin Chadwick, who's with the Citrus Growers Association, says they need more support.

"If all local role players work together, projections are that in the next nine years an additional 100 million cartons of citrus can be exported, 100 000 jobs and more foreign exchange earned."
"Without a real revival of Transnet, this expansion is under serious threat."
