Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana has refuted allegations of sexual assault that have been levelled against him.

A criminal case has reportedly been laid against Godongwana.
The case stems from an incident in the Kruger National Park in Skukuza, Mpumalanga where Godongwana allegedly violated an employee.
Godongwana had visited the park in his private capacity.
The complainant, an employee, was offering massage services to guests in their rooms.

“I have always upheld and respected the rights and dignity of women, and this allegation goes against everything I stand for,” reads a statement by Godongwana.
In the statement issued on Saturday, Godongwana added that he was in his room together with his wife.
“[T]here is no basis for the allegations”.
