Glynnis Breytenbach withdraws from NDPP race
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Glynnis Breytenbach will no longer be in the running to become the country's head of prosecutions.

The DA Shadow Justice Minister has withdrawn her name from a shortlist of 12 candidates - as interviews began this morning.
She made the announcement at press conference in Cape Town - alongside party leader - Mmusi Maimane.
In a statement - they say the decision was made after Breytenbach consulted widely with her DA colleagues and the legal fraternity.
The party says it's happy with the process to appoint a new National Director of Public Prosecutions - saying it's a step in the right direction.

Among the candidates are the current and former KZN directors of public prosecutions Moipone Noko and Shamila Batohi - as well as Simphiwe Mlotshwa who acted in the position - after Batohi took up a position at the International Criminal Court as an advisor.
Interviews are currently taking place at the Union Buildings.
