Glebelands: Police investigating third murder within a week

Police are probing the murder of yet another Glebelands resident at the weekend and say an arrest is imminent.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says a 26-year-old man was shot dead at a tavern not far from the violence-ridden Umlazi housing complex on Sunday morning.
"It's alleged that at about 2am in the morning - this man had an argument with another person. As a result, the suspect produced his firearm and allegedly shot the victim."
Newswatch understands its the third such incident - that's occurred in less than a week.
Last Thursday, a minibus taxi belonging to a former Block R peace committee leader was shot at. The owner had parked the vehicle on the premises and found it riddled with bullet holes the next morning.

Police say a case of malicious damage to property has been opened.
In another robbery case, security guards at a construction site below Blocks H to K were tied up and the site ransacked on Wednesday night.
