Glebelands murders: Bail bid gets underway in court

Seven suspects - linked to murders at the notorious Glebelands Hostel - are due to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today where their bail hearings are scheduled to run until Thursday.

Meanwhile, a 29-year-old man is due to appear in court in Umlazi for the possession of an unlicensed firearm.

The police's Thulani Zwane says he was nabbed by officers who were patrolling the hostel yesterday.
"The members became suspicious about the man who gave them information regarding the unlawful firearms in the hostel. They searched these suspects - he was found in possession of a .38 revolver with five live rounds.
"It appeared that he was one of the suspects linked to the killings at Glebelands Hostel," he said.
