Girl, six, killed in N3 crash near Pinetown
Authorities are investigating the cause of a single vehicle accident on the N3 near Pinetown yesterday that claimed the life of a six-year-old girl.
Reports from the scene suggest the car the child and five other people had been travelling in overturned yesterday afternoon.
Crisis Medical's Kyle van Reenen says paramedics battled in a bid to save her life.
"On arrival we found a single light motor vehicle that overturned and was lying on its side in the middle of the roadway. A female had been ejected from the vehicle and was in a state of cardiac arrest.
"CPR efforts were attempted and after a lengthy battle, sadly the young lady was declared deceased on scene," he said.
