Girl, 8, killed in Port Shepstone accident
An eight-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car in Port Shepstone earlier this afternoon.
It is believed the girl had been walking home from school with friends in Marburg when the incident happened.
KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Service's Robert McKenzie says they found the girl on a small embankment.
"Paramedics arrived on the scene and sadly found that she had already passed away. The paramedics also examined the driver of the vehicle. The police are at the scene as well and they're investigating the exact circumstances resulting in the crash," he said.
