Girl (3) drowns in family pool
A 3-year-old girl has died after she fell into a family swimming pool and drowned in the Berea area, in Durban.
The incident took place yesterday afternoon. It is not known if she was under any adult supervision at the time.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says they were called out shortly after the incident.
"On arrival paramedics found that somehow a 3-year-old girl had fallen into the family swimming pool", he said.
"Upon assessment it was found there was no sign of life and the little girl was declared 'dead on scene'. Police are investigating the incident", Jamieson said.
