Gigaba's wife in nasty Instagram spat

The businesswoman who allegedly tried to steal Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba’s heart has now ignited the full wrath of his wife, Noma, it would appear.

Several sources close to the couple say that Noma told New York-based Buhle Mkhize ‘where to get off’. Mkhize described herself as a fashionista, a buyer for high-end boutiques, and stylist for celebrity and private clients.

A close family friend said that Mkhize reportedly made "certain demands" on Noma, with the implied threat that her alleged sordid affair with the minister would be made public otherwise.

Mkhize, originally from Eshowe, has denied the claims. “No, I did not make any demands on her.”

An ugly catfight between the two women played out on Instagram last week while the Gigabas, who celebrated their one year wedding anniversary in August, were in Russia.

It was reported that Noma sent Mkhize a message on Instagram, apparently calling Mkhize a prostitute. “Miss photoshop and a lot of makeup awuve ufake [you are fake]. Go to hell, prostitute, tell the world, I am not shaken, loser, you have been doing this since last year,” one of the messages reportedly read.

The family friend said Mkhize sent Noma an email on January 2, asking her to "make the right decision" and leave Malusi. "Noma also received a phone call from Buhle’s sisters saying that she was having a relationship with Malusi. He was in London at the time so Noma couldn’t confront him.”

Another source claimed that Mkhize alleged that she had a one week long affair with Gigaba and that the woman has been harassing the minister’s wife on Instagram and other social network platforms for some time now.

The Gigabas got married in a lavish wedding at the Durban Botanical Gardens in August 2014.

‘Jealous’

“I think this woman went to the media because ... she is jealous of their relationship. She hates the fact that they are still together and love each other very much.”

Another source claimed: “The woman told Noma .... she dated Malusi for a week and he dumped her. She came crying to Noma confessing about the alleged affair.

“The woman also asked Noma why she travelled with Malusi when people like Tony Yengeni always travel alone.”

About calling the woman a prostitute, the source said: “Buhle sent Noma an e-mail apologising for what she did. Noma told her that if Malusi cheated on her, then God will deal with him.

“Noma also told her the only person that owed her an explanation was Malusi, because he was her husband and the person who had made the marriage vows. Noma has never seen smses or seen any strange behaviour from Malusi."

“Noma told Buhle that if her apology was genuine, then she should leave matter alone. Noma does not use strong language, she is not that type of person.

Nightmares

“In one of the emails she [Mkhiza] said she was having nightmares because Malusi had dumped her. She told Noma that she had been seeing a psychologist because she was depressed because she was dumped by the minister,” said the source.

Although Mkhize does not admit to having had a relationship with Gigaba, she said that she has apologised to Noma for her conduct.

“I've had a heart-wrenching struggle building myself up and I'm offended that she keeps calling me uneducated and mostly that she's calling me a prostitute. This is not right, I've worked very hard to be where I am,” said Mkhize.
