Gigaba urges govt to reduce wasteful expenditure

Finance Minister, Malusi Gigaba says government has a responsibility to use taxpayers money wisely.

Gigaba addressed the South African Institute of Tax Professionals’ Tax Indaba in Sandton.
The Tax Indaba is now the largest annual gathering of the country's tax community. The event is used to share ideas and practices around tax development. Gigaba stressed the need for inclusive economic growth and for government to stop wasteful expenditure.

"Tax morality plays a significant role in the successes of the country and government recognises that tax morality is closely linked to the efficient use of resources and a reduction in corruption," he says.
