Gigaba equates nuclear deal allegations to gossip
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
SA's new Finance Minister has rubbished claims he's already signed off on controversial deals.

Listen to the full bulletin below.
Pietermaritzburg-based ANC member Sibusisiwe Mngadi wrote on her Facebook page that she had it on good authority that Malusi Gigaba signed off on the trillion rand nuclear deal on Friday night.
The post was widely circulated after former ANC MP Vytjie Mentor republished it on her Facebook page.

Treasury released a statement afterwards refuting the allegations - stating that Gigaba hadn't signed a single thing at the department since assuming his new position.
Speaking in Pretoria today, Gigaba laughed off the rumours.
"Another claim that has been circulating at the weekend is that I have signed off on the nuclear deal - South Africans will pay a heavy price for spreading so much gossip and disinformation. We seriously will. At times, we behave in a manner that seems to suggest that the first person to make the claim is correct - it doesn't matter what the truth is," he said.
