Police have launched a manhunt for a group of armed suspects that robbed a jewellery store at the Gateway Theatre of shopping mall.

According to police the group entered the mall, shattered the glass door and stormed into the jewellery store yesterday. They fired a handful of shots but no one was hurt.
Witnesses say they saw the gang leave the store with what appeared to be sheet filled with jewellery and other items.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele, says the group then took off in their getaway vehicle.
"They fled the scene in a getaway vehicle which was later found abandoned on the M25 in the Greenwood Park area and near a service station", she said.
"A case of robbery has been opened at the Durban North police station for investigation", Mbhele said.
