GALLERY: Over 40 injured in multi-vehicle collision on N3 near Mooi River
More than forty people have been hurt in a serious crash on the N3 near Mooi River where a tanker is on fire.
A bus and several other vehicles were also involved in the collision.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst says over 40 people have been injured.
At least four of them are in a critical condition.
"Paramedics are busing stabilising the patients and once stabilised; the patients will be transported by various services through to hospital for further attention.
"Currently, no fatalities have been recorded. Emergency services are still trying to determine which chemical the tanker was carrying."
Firefighters are on scene battling to put out the blaze.
