Eight people have suffered minor injuries after a building partially collapsed in Durban central.

KZN EMS spokesperson Robert McKenzie says it happened on Pixley Ka Seme Street.
"Paramedics and emergency services responded to the scene and found that the three-storey building has partially collapsed into the one shop. Rescuers had to help evacuated several people who were trapped inside the building."
"Eight people were taken to hospital with minor injuries, but nine people were accessed by paramedics," he said.
McKenzie says the exact cause of the collapse is being investigated.
