G20 representatives in
Durban are mulling over a plan to reduce youth unemployment by 5% by 2030.

Representatives have largely welcomed the Gqeberha proposal, particularly its employment strategies and entrepreneurship.
Members of the G20 Employment Working Group are meeting in uMhlanga this week.
The Department of Employment and Labour's Siyabonga Hadebe urged them on Tuesday to come to an agreement on the Nelson Mandela Bay target.

Youth unemployment in South African stands at 44.6%.
" Our primary objective is to achieve maximum consensus on an agreement on the Nelson Mandela Bay Target and its implementation modality."
The initiative was unveiled during the first G20 Employment Working Group meeting in February.
The proposal aligns with the Antalya Goal set in Turkey in 2015.
A representative from Germany says they are still studying the proposal.
"We have minor changes that we are happy to present to you in the course of the next couple of weeks. We support a regional and national approach that enables us to have a deeper observation and analysis of vulnerable groups.
"Often this is young women. It is youth who drop out of school, and it is also migrant groups, and I think a lot of us are actually facing these problems in particular."
A member of the United Kingdom’s Group of 20 says they support the pitch.
"We welcome the current pillars of the goal, particularly the focus on employment strategies, strengthening skills, and entrepreneurship. These align very closely with the UK's views."
