Funeral details for music icon Joseph Shabalala released

The funeral of music icon Joseph Shabalala will take place next week Saturday in Ladysmith.
He passed away in hospital in Pretoria yesterday.

The five-time Grammy award-winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo which he founded in the 60s - is currently on tour in the U.S.
The group's manager Xolani Majozi says they'll take a break to come home for the funeral.
"It is not easy for the family and the group as well because they received the news yesterday just before they were going on stage. It wasn't easy at all."

Shabalala's close friend - Sipho 'Hotstix' Mabuse says we must celebrate his legacy rather mourn his death.
"One should not lament but celebrate his passing, in that what I would miss about him is just his body, his presence, but Joseph lived in all of us."
"Joseph lived in all those who heard his music. The great legacy that he has left with his sons and so on and the music that he has made for all these years."
