Funeral arrangments being made for Vryheid crash victims

The families of some of the victims of this week's horror crash in Vryheid are finalising arrangements for their funerals - set to take place on Monday.

A car with seven occupants and a bakkie carrying six people collided on the R34 on Tuesday afternoon.
Seven people died on the scene while three succumbed to their injuries later that day.
Two girls aged three and five were among the victims.

Some of the victims are from Nongoma.
Mayor Albert Mncwango says they'll be helping them with the burial costs.
"We are going to be having a memorial service which will be combined for all families at Njampela Sports Ground which is the area where the family actually come from.

Regarding the funeral arrangements, he says each family will conduct its own funeral. There will be no mass funeral.
