Fuel prices expected to drop in January

Motorists will be entering the New Year on a high note with more change in their cubbyholes, with fuel prices predicted to drop again in January.

The Automobile Association says there's a significant drop expected in the first month of 2024, based on unaudited data from the Central Energy Fund.
It says petrol will drop by between 28 and 68 cents a litre, depending on the grade.

Diesel is expected to drop by R1.50 a litre.
Illuminating paraffin could see a drop of around R1.42.
The AA says the expected reductions are due to lower international product prices.
