Fuel price to increase next Wednesday

After numerous predictions, next Wednesday's fuel price hike has been confirmed by government.
Petrol goes up by 45 cents a litre and diesel by 63 cents.

The Energy Department's Robert Maake says illuminating paraffin will cost 76 cents more.
"The main
reason for this increase is the higher crude prices. It’s on average increased
from $36 a barrel to about $58 per barrel during the period under review, when
compared to the last period. We also feel as if the rand strengthened slightly
against the US dollar during the same period," he said.
