Fuel price increase: More bad news for motorists
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
The Energy Department has announced July’s adjustments.
Energy’s Robert Maake says motorists will be paying 26 cents a litre more for 93 octane petrol.
95 octane will cost 23 cents a litre more, while diesel users will be coughing up an additional 24 or 26 cents depending on the grade.
The Rand’s weakness against the US Dollar was among the main contributing factors to hike.
Fuel price increases often have a knock-on effect, pushing
up transportation costs, food prices and the cost of other goods and services.
July's adjustments kick in on Wednesday.
