Fuel price decrease not that significant: economist
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Consumers can expect lower fuel prices in April 2017, but the weakening rand means the relief is less than what it could have been.

He's explained that costs should've been slashed by about 55-cents a litre but that won't happen due to higher taxes and Road Accident Fund levies of 39-cents a litre set to come into effect in April.
"We're only going to see a decrease in the petrol price of around 16-cents. This was largely driven by the still relatively strong rand at the levels of R13 against the dollar and the drop in the price of international crude oil," he said.
