Fuel price could drop due to strengthening rand
Updated | By Lethiwe Mdluli
There could be more good news for motorists.

Early indications are that the fuel price may decrease again.
The Automobile Association's Layton Beard, says the drop in the international oil price will work in our favour.
"International oil prices have been declining steeply since that start of February. This has accounted for approximately half of what we expect will be a petrol price reduction going into March.
"We believe that the current data suggests a petrol price decline of around 28-cents per litre and 36-cents for diesel, and 21-cents for illuminating paraffin," he says.

Beard says the strengthening of the rand after Jacob Zuma's resignation will also have an impact on fuel costs. Last month, the petrol price fell by 30 cents a litre and diesel by 17 cents per litre.
