Frustrated motorists say fuel price hikes 'last thing we need right now'

KwaZulu-Natal motorists are having to adjust their budgets after this month's astronomical fuel price hikes.
Those wanting to delay the painful sting of the new costs queued up at the pumps on Monday to fill up their tanks.
Mineral Resources and Energy said this week that all grades of petrol will jump by R1,21 cents a litre.
Consumers using diesel are now having to fork out R1,45 cents a litre more.
Frustrated Durbanites have been speaking to Newswatch.
"I think it's really not appreciated people are battling with Covid, with a whole lot of price hikes in terms of food and things and this is the last thing we need right now," said a woman.
Another woman added: "It's really depressing right now I am on literally zero and I need to travel all the way to Molweni, so R100 is just nothing so if things could change, it will make life very easy because most of us work and we mobile all the time so it's really very inconvenient for us."
One man said: "Standing in the queue waiting to fill up, the norm in our country now ridiculous prices are going up every month, every second month where are we getting to?"
