French sailor goes missing - NSRI
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The maritime community across the Atlantic and Indian oceans have been put on high alert for a missing French sailor.

Emmanuel Dailler set sail from Cape Town last month on his yacht AKELA II.
It's thought he was headed for the French Caribbean island of Martinique.
The National Sea Rescue Institute says the 56-year-old departed from the Hout Bay Yacht Club.

Spokesperson Craig Lambinon says there's been no communication with the solo sailor since.
"There are no new leads to assist in finding AKELA II and her solo sailor. It was earlier suspected he was headed Atlantic to the French Caribbean but with no formal clarity to determine if he has had set sail for the French Caribbean.
"We are widening our efforts to include the Indian Ocean as he has a sister residing in Australia and we simply have no way and no new leads to suggest he went either way - across the Atlantic or the Indian Oceans."
