Four-year-old girl taken during New Germany hijacking

Police are still searching for a 4-year-old girl taken
during a hijacking in New Germany, near Pinetown this morning.
The child had been in the car with her father at the intersection of Dinkelman and Shepstone roads this morning.
Police say they were approached by four armed men who forced the father out of the vehicle.
The suspects then sped off with the girl still in the car.
No injuries have been reported.
SAPS spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele is urging anyone with information to come forward.
“A case of carjacking has been opened at Pinetown SAPS. No arrests have been made at this stage. Police are still searching for the girl,” she said.
As of 9pm, Mbele said the girl had still not been found.
