Four rhino poached at Hluhluwe game reserve

KZN Ezemvelo Wildlife says four rhino have been poached this week at its Hluhluwe uMfolozi Park.
Ezemvelo's Cedric Coetze says the carcasses were found 24 hours after the animals were killed.

Last week, the organisation said it was looking at various protection measures at all their game reserves - in a bid to protect all its animals.
The systematic de-horning of rhinos - in an effort to curb the poaching of this endangered species - was one of the measures identified.

Coetze says they believe the four rhino to have been killed in two separate incidents.
"We believe they were two separate days. It happened earlier in the week. I'm not going to go into too much detail. We do have protection measures; we work closely with the SAPS," he said.
