Four killed in northern KZN accident

Four people have been killed and five others injured in an accident in northern KZN.

The crash between two light motor vehicles happened on the N2 between Hluhluwe and Mkhuze last night.
Emergency Medical Services Spokesperson Robert McKenzie says police are investigating.
"The exact cause of the crash is not known at this stage. As EMS, we would like to urge drivers to be extremely cautious as KZN roads are very busy and congested in the holiday period," he said.

Meanwhile, paramedics are currently on the scene of an accident at the corner of Umgeni Road and Goble Road in Durban where a taxi and a car have collided.
Reports indicate that the taxi veered off the road and collided with the vehicle at the robot.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says traffic is heavily backed up on the area.
"A total of 17 people are being treated on scene and they will be transported to various Durban hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to serious. At this stage - the exact cause of the incident is not known; however, SAPS s in attendance and will be investigating further," he said.
