Four killed in horror collision on R33

At least four people have
been confirmed dead following a horrific head-on crash on the R33 road between
Greytown and Pietermaritzburg.
A minibus taxi and a car collided on Tuesday afternoon.
Reports from the scene were that the taxi burst into the flames - with an unknown number of passengers trapped inside.
Twelve people managed to escape while four people died in the blaze.

Robert McKenzie. who's with KZN EMS, says it took firefighters and other emergency teams hours to safely extract the bodies from the burnt vehicle.
"At this stage, officials from the scene indicate that tragically two people have sustained fatal injuries in this crash. Paramedics treated 12 patients at the scene and transported them through to hospital for further care.
"At this stage, the circumstances resulting in the crash are not known at this stage and will be investigated by the police. The patients who were injured, according to paramedics all sustained critical injuries."
