Four killed in crash on N3 near PMB
People were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on the N3 near Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday afternoon.
It's understood two trucks and a car were involved in the accident at the bottom of Town Hill.
Garrith Jamieson of ALS Paramedics says both heavy goods vehicles left the roadway and came down an embankment.
"Paramedics set up a trio system and started assessing occupants that were involved in this horrific crash. One person is still missing."

"One person with minor injuries has been treated and transported to hospital by ambulance. There is a severe backlog in the N3 heading to Pietermaritzburg, and the scene will be active for quite some time.”
