Four in court after Van Reenen's Pass protest action

Four truck drivers will today face charges related to their alleged involvement in yet another flare up ofunrest on the N3 - in the Van Reenen area - this past weekend.
On Sunday, both the south-bound as well as the north-bound carriageways were blocked and two trucks were torched.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says those arrested during the unrest will make their first appearance before the Ladysmith Magistrates' Court.

"Four trucks were impounded and four suspects will be appearing in court facing charges of public violence," Mbhele said.
