Four children drown in KZN north coast dam

Police Search and Rescue officers are currently at a dam in the KwaMbonambi area on the north coast where four children have drowned.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says the children were all swimming in the Msweli dam when they got into difficulty in the water.
Mbhele says the children are aged between 5 and 13-years.
"Empangeni Search and Rescue and local police were called to the scene. They are still there now. An inquest docket has been opened for investigation," she said.

Two of the children are thought to be siblings.
