Former NFP deputy president wants to focus on gender equality

The former Deputy President of the National Freedom Party, who announced her resignation via Facebook, says she's looking for a movement that wants to advance women's representation in politics.
Sindi Maphumulo-Mashinini feels her former party's lost the plot and vision.

NFP spokesperson, Sabelo Sigudu says the organisation isn't shaken by her departure.
"We are not surprised by this because in as much as one is going, we receive ten [members]. These are people we regard as gatekeepers because some people show their true colours in events like this," Sigudu said.
